Sony Releasing Bigger, Whiter PlayStation 3s In Japan 6 Jul 2010, 5:20 pm
Just as Microsoft unveils their new, black Xbox 360 slims, Sony has revealed a console redesign of their own, albeit much less drastic and localized entirely in Japan. Andriasang reports that Sony will start shipping 160GB and 320GB PlayStation 3s starting July 29 for $341 and $398 respectively. In addition to the traditional black, the 160GB model will also be available in the new “Classic White.” Sony is also releasing new white Dualshock 3 controllers and console stands as well. No word on when/if the new PS3 models will be landing stateside, but if they start selling like the Japanese equivalent of hotcakes, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't show up sometime later this year.
